HEARTBEAT FACADE

Breathing life into the building.
The innovative Virtual Facade changes organically with LED lights embedded in the glass surfaces of the second floor of the building looking out onto the Ginza 4-Chome intersection. It fills the streets of Ginza with color and is able to change its appearance in various ways such as the 'Facade mode' that perfectly matches the GINZA PLACE exterior and 'artist mode' created by renowned artists.

CONCEPT

Updates to Ginza’s landmark Virtual Facade are a “breath of fresh air”. The iconic digital clock has been visually augmented to embody the cutting edge image of this global trendsetting destination. Data gathered in real-time from wind conditions are translated into animations across the Virtual Facade, changing according to the season. Developed to become the face of NISSAN, this new showcase of technology and culture breathes new life into Ginza and signals Nissan’s leap forward into the future.
